I have some non-appearing tasks. Why?

Playing on a Kindle. When I get a request in Krustland to return a character to Springfield to carry out a task, when I do so, there is no highlighted task for that character to perform. Any suggestions?

I'm guessing that these are the random tasks. When the map is reloaded, these random tasks change to a new character or sometimes just dissappear. It also happens when you load the friends screen or close and reopen the app.
