How long is the friend point quest going to last?

I'm nearing the end of the friend point quest (where you visit neighbous and get Snowball ii and Homer's car I'm nearly at the end but just wondered if anyone knows when it's due to end?

It is a permanent thing. It is a non-limited event, so it is not pretended to end. It's like the Krustyland or the Squidport events, so they will probably add more friend level prizes and more Friendship Levels!!
