How does the friend point system work?

I was getting 5 to 10 fp from neighbors now I only get 1 is it random?

For your first 30 interactions (3 per town, 10 towns), you get 10 points per interaction. For the next 30, it's 5. Next 30 is 4, next 30 is 2 then every other one is 1 FP per interaction.

What this is saying is you get 300 FP for the first 30, 150 for the second 30, 120 for the third, 60 for the fourth then up to 60 for your final interactions. You can get up to 690 FP a day.

The timer resets the next day after your first interaction the previous day. For example, if you did your first interaction at 8AM, the next day, the counter will reset to 10FP per interaction at 8AM the next day. If you make your first interaction that day at 10AM, the counter will reset the next day at 10AM.
